Have you ever tasted extreme food?

Have you ever tasted extreme food before? Today we'll talk about extreme food. There are so many extreme food in this world. Here we start...

In America, there are extreme food called Tiram Rocky Mountain is made from testis of cow.

Tiram Rocky Mountain

Then we have plasenta. People eat mamal's plasenta to prevent depression postpartum and the time near the birth. And for the sweet things we have Ant Candy, candy that is contained ants. I don't know why people made that and for what people eat ant.... :s

Now we move to Africa. They eat cow's blood. They took the blood without kill the cow, just took blood from the nerve.

In Europe, they have Black Pudding that is made from blood and lard. They also have Casu Marzu. This is goat's milk with full of insect's larva. For the extreme drink, they have Absinth with alcohol more than 74%.

In Asia, they have Doh Khileh. This is salad with steamed pig's brain for the garnish (india). In China, they have a machine that sells living crab. This is so weird but quite interesting, so people don't have to queue in the market to buy crabs.

Indonesia have some food that people think it's extreme. Bothok Tawon, Lawar Bali, Rujak Cingur, etc.

From the business point of view, I think extreme food can be quite interesting for the business. Some people don't like it, but it doesn't mean everyone don't like it. There are some people will spend their money to feel the extreme one. I think I may sell drinks that is contained with alcohol more than 60%. Because in Indonesia, there are nothing like this before. And I think it works.

Frozen Dessert

Who loves Ice cream? I’m sure most of you love ice cream.Today we’re gonna talk about Frozen Dessert. It has so many kind of variants. So let’s start with the definition of them..

Frozen Dessert is made from frozen liquid that is combined with fruits or others ingredients  to add more flavor. The main ingredients to make Frozen Dessert are sugar, milk, coloring and alcohol.

The history of Frozen Dessert is started by the habit of Russian people who  eats snow combined with wine. As the time goes by, then Arab found the real ice cream. And since the 15th century, ice cream is known by people around the world.

There are 3 types of Frozen Dessert, Flavored water, Fruit Purees and Semi-Freddo. Flavored water it made from shaved ice as the main ingredient. This Ice can be found most in Hawaii. For example for this Flavored Ice are Snow Ice (America), Kakigori (Japan), Patbingsu (Korea), etc.

You can make Snow Ice Cream from Snow or shaved ice then flavored it. It's very simple and really yummy, you can see the recipe here: Snow Ice Cream

Fruit Purees is known as Sorbet. For example are Strawberry Sorbet, Granita (most of them are Lemon), Spoom (foamed sorbet), etc. And the last is Semi-Freddo, for example is Mousse like Panna Cotta, etc.

Strawberry Sorbet

Sorbet is very easy to make, yummy and healthy. Because it used the real fruits then blend it. Some people made Sorbet with Sorbet Machine, but don't worry for you who doesn't have that machine you can check this recipe: Strawberry Sorbet without Sorbet Machine

Today i just know, that there’s ice cream named Kulfi based on Arab. Kulfi is like the common ice cream, but the flavor are came from the spices (kapulaga, cinnamon, etc). I’m not sure about the flavor(because i never taste it before) but i think it will taste good.

From the business point of view, i may open a stall that sells ice cream just like Kulfi. But i will add more milk into them to get the nice taste for Indonesian. It will served in colorful cone to make it more beautiful.
